When Do You Need to Delete or Reorder PDF Pages?

Documents are rarely perfect on the first try. A scan may include a blank page, a report may have an old cover sheet, or the pages may simply be in the wrong order. Instead of recreating the file, you can remove the extra pages and put the rest in order.

How to Delete and Reorder PDF Pages

  1. Press Choose a PDF file and pick your document. A small picture of each page appears.
  2. To remove a page, press Delete under it. The page turns pink. Press Restore if you change your mind.
  3. To change the order, press Earlier or Later under a page. Each page shows its new position.
  4. Press Download new PDF. The file is saved as the original name followed by -edited.

What the Tool Does

  • Shows a preview of every page so you can see what you are removing.
  • Deletes any number of pages and lets you restore them before you download.
  • Moves pages one step at a time, earlier or later.
  • Copies the pages as they are. Text, images and links on the pages are not redrawn.
  • Saves a new file and leaves your original untouched.

Good to Know

  • It works with PDFs up to 100 MB and up to 300 pages. For longer files, use the Split PDF tool first.
  • Password protected PDFs cannot be opened by the tool. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first.
  • Bookmarks and links that point to other pages of the same file may not be kept.
  • You cannot delete every page. At least one page must stay.

Can I add pages from another PDF?
