What Is a JPG to PDF Converter?
A JPG to PDF converter puts one or more pictures into a PDF document. Each image becomes its own page, so you can turn photos of a form, scans of a receipt or a set of screenshots into one file that is easy to send, print or store. This tool also accepts PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP images.
How to Convert JPG to PDF
- Press Choose images and select your pictures. You can pick several at once or add more later.
- Use the Up and Down buttons to put the pages in the order you want, or Remove to take one out.
- Choose the page size, orientation and margin, then press Convert to PDF. Your file downloads as images.pdf.
Page Size, Orientation and Margin
Page size
A4 is the standard in most countries and US Letter is common in the United States and Canada. Choose Same as the image if you want each page to match the size of its picture exactly, which is useful for screenshots and designs.
Orientation
Automatic gives wide pictures a landscape page and tall pictures a portrait page. You can also force every page to portrait or landscape.
Margin
None fills the page as much as the picture allows. Small and Big leave a white border around the image, which looks better when you print.
Why Use a Browser Based Converter?
Many online converters upload your pictures to a server first. Here the work happens on your own device, which is a good fit for ID cards, medical papers, invoices and other private files. You also skip the wait for uploading and downloading, and there is no watermark and no sign-up.
Tips for Better Results
- Use the original photo instead of a screenshot of it when you can, since it has more detail.
- Photos taken on a phone are rotated correctly, even when the phone stored them sideways.
- Name your files with numbers, such as 01.jpg and 02.jpg, so they are easy to recognise in the list.
- To join the new PDF with other documents, use the Merge PDF tool.
Limits to Know About
- You can add up to 100 images, each up to 40 MB, as long as your device has enough memory.
- JPG images are placed in the PDF without recompressing them when possible, so the PDF is about the size of the pictures. WebP, GIF and BMP images are converted first.
- Animated GIFs use only their first frame.
- Pictures are fitted inside the page without cropping, so a page can have white space around an image that does not match the page shape.
- This tool creates PDFs from images. To turn a PDF back into pictures, use PDF to JPG.
