About the Small Text Generator

Small text makes a bio, caption or username stand out without changing the font. This small text generator converts normal letters into small caps, superscript and subscript characters that you can copy and paste into Instagram, TikTok, X, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram and most other apps.

How to use the Small Text Generator

  1. Type or paste a short piece of text into the box.
  2. Pick a style: small caps, superscript or subscript.
  3. Copy the result and paste it wherever you need it.

What each style looks like

StyleExample inputResult
Small capsHelloʜᴇʟʟᴏ
Superscripthelloʰᵉˡˡᵒ
SubscriptH2OH₂O

How it works

The generator does not change your font. It replaces each letter or number with a different Unicode character that happens to look smaller, raised or lowered. Because these are real characters, they survive copy and paste and keep their look in any app that supports them, unlike styling that depends on a font or on HTML.

A few limitations to know

  • Not every letter has an official small-caps or superscript Unicode character, so a few letters fall back to their normal form.
  • Rendering depends on the font, and on some devices certain characters may show as empty boxes.
  • Screen readers may read styled characters letter by letter or skip them, so avoid using them for important information.
  • Search is affected too: someone searching for your name in normal letters may not find a username written in small caps.
  • Keep styled text for short phrases. Long paragraphs in small text are hard to read.

Where to use styled text

  • Social media bios, captions and usernames
  • Chat apps such as WhatsApp, Discord and Telegram
  • Subtle emphasis in messages without bold or italics
  • Chemical formulas and footnote marks using subscript and superscript

Frequently asked questions

Why does small text work on social media?

These styles are made from Unicode characters rather than a font, so they stay the same wherever you paste them.

Will the styled text work everywhere?

It works in most modern apps, but rendering can vary slightly depending on the font.

Why do some letters look normal?

A few letters have no official small-caps or superscript Unicode version, so they are kept as they are.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is processed in your browser.
