The preview runs inside an isolated frame in your browser. Your code is not uploaded or saved. JavaScript is off unless you turn it on.
What Is an HTML Viewer?
An HTML viewer takes HTML code and shows the page that the code would produce. You can use it to check a snippet, test a small change to an email or landing page, learn how tags work, or see a saved .html file without uploading it anywhere. It is the quickest way to see what code does before you put it on a real website.
How to View HTML Code Online
- Paste your HTML into the code box, or open an .html file from your device.
- Press Run, or leave Update while I type switched on to see changes live.
- Pick Full width, Tablet or Phone to check how the page fits smaller screens.
- Fix anything you want to change, then copy the code or download it as an .html file.
What the Preview Can and Cannot Do
- It shows HTML and CSS, including style tags and inline styles.
- Images and links that use full web addresses will load, because the preview is a normal browser frame.
- JavaScript is off by default. Turn on Allow JavaScript in the preview only for code you trust. The frame is isolated, so it cannot read this page or your site data.
- Files that sit on your own computer, such as images referenced by a local path, will not load. Use full web addresses or embed the image in the code.
- The preview is a quick check, not a full test. Always test the final page in the browsers and devices your visitors use.
