Units You Can Convert

  • Weight and mass: milligrams, grams, kilograms, metric tons, ounces, pounds and stones.
  • Volume: milliliters, liters, cubic meters, teaspoons, tablespoons, fluid ounces, cups, pints, quarts and US and UK gallons.

Good to Know

  • US and UK gallons, pints and quarts are different sizes. The list says which one each unit is.
  • A kilobyte is 1000 bytes and a kibibyte is 1024 bytes. Storage makers use the first, while many operating systems show the second.
  • Months and years in the time category are averages, because real months and years change in length.
  • For temperature, use the Temperature Converter, because it needs formulas rather than a single multiplier.

One meter is about 3.2808 feet. Choose Length, then Meter to Foot, and type 1.

What is the difference between MB and MiB?

A megabyte (MB) is 1,000,000 bytes. A mebibyte (MiB) is 1,048,576 bytes. The converter includes both.

Can I convert temperatures here?

Not in this tool. Temperature needs different formulas, so there is a separate Temperature Converter.
