Schema Markup Validator
Check your JSON-LD structured data for valid syntax and common missing fields.
How the Schema Markup Validator Works
This tool checks whether your structured data (JSON-LD schema) is written correctly, both as valid JSON and against the fields that search engines typically expect for common content types like Article, Product, FAQPage, and LocalBusiness.
How this tool checks your code
Paste your schema code, with or without its surrounding script tags. The tool parses it as JSON, checks for required fields like @context and @type, and runs a few type-specific checks such as making sure a Product has pricing information or an Article has an author.
Common schema mistakes
- Forgetting the @context field, without it, search engines cannot interpret the data as schema.org markup.
- Describing content that is not actually visible on the page.
- Missing required fields for a given type, such as a price for a Product or a headline for an Article.
- Invalid JSON syntax, a stray comma or missing bracket will break the entire block.
